USING THE MACHINE

Ready to clean? Great!

Roll the Rug Doctor to your starting point and adjust the handle for comfort. Turn the switch to “Carpet,” then press down on the red button and pull back slowly and steadily. You’ll see dirty water coming up through the see-through dome.

When you hit the end of the stroke, release the red button and pull back about six more inches. Then tilt your Rug Doctor back, roll it to the next starting point, and start again. Keep going until you’re done.

To clean upholstery with your Rug Doctor, disconnect the black and gray vacuum hose and connect the gray cuff of the upholstery tool. Next, attach the solution line, then switch the machine to “Upholstery.” Place the tool where you want to clean, squeeze the black trigger, then pull steadily back. You’ll see dirty water coming up through the see-through dome.

You can use your upholstery tool on furniture, stairs, mattresses, car mats, car seats and more. Be sure to clean your car mats on concrete.
